Radiologic Planning for Dental Implants
Ball bearing is used as a planning aid in determining the amount of distortion in radiograph. The labio palatal width can be revealed in the radiograph thus the width of the implant to be used can be determined. At present, the most ideal imaging technique for dental implant planning is CT Scan. It would show the three dimensional image of the residual bone.
